Tonight I sat down with two of my kids and tried to have a serious talk about what's going on in their lives (I know they hate that). Sometimes we need time to reflect (and hence the picture) and see what they're up to. On the surface things might seem like they fit together but there is so much more going on that we (or I) need to dig a little deeper and try to bring things to the surface. What do you want to do with your life, what drives you, what is your passion? Sometimes we have to look way below the surface to understand what we need to do. We need to understand what's below the surface, what keeps us going, what we need to do to ensure a secure base for ourselves and those that we love. I think it was a worthwhile meeting although they probably rolled their eyes and wondered why we need to have these kind of "family discussions" (although most of the family was missing). Anyway, I thought this picture fit the day.
Esta noche me senté con dos de mis hijos para tener una discusión seria acerca de cómo van sus vidas (aunque se que no les gusta hablar de esto). A veces necesitamos tiempo para reflejar (y por eso ésta foto) para ver que pasa en sus vidas. Superficialmente todo parece estar bien pero bajo de esto pasa tanto que no nos damos cuenta. ¿Qué es lo que queremos en nuestra vida, qué nos maneja, cuál es nuestra pasión? A veces tenemos que ver más aya de lo superficial para entender lo que nos empuja para lo mejor, para asegurar que hacemos lo que es bueno y hacemos lo que podemos para esos a quién amamos. Creo que fué una buen discusión aunque yo hable más que nadie. Bueno, asi que por eso puse esta foto para ésta noche.

en mi caso, la comunicacion con mis padres es cero.
pienso que es importantisimo hablar de cosas tan interesantes (y privadas) como nuestro propio mundo con nuestros padres, hijos, etc., realmente es difil expresarse y sacar lo que quisieramos, pero usted no se queda atras... lo intenta. Realmente lo felicito, sus hijos (si hoy no lo hacen) lo apreciaran.
Por lo que veo son una familia unida...

Para mi la familia es lo más importante y si soy muy afortunado en ese respeto. Pero tú sabes como se ponen los hijos y padres cuándo quieren tener una plática seria (más o menos).
