So I went on a walk at William Pond Rec. I did not expect an event to be taking place (Eppie's Great Race). The race itself was basically over and as I walked away from the event somewhere in the distance I heard some music playing. It caught my attention and as I walked toward the music I noticed a band was playing pretty close to the river. I walked up to the musicians and took a few pictures. The lead singer, Pinkie Varner (love the name), let me take some pictures (above). They all had a sunny disposition. I enjoyed their music as I walked away. I heard them play a couple of songs but can only remember "The River".
Hoy caminé en el parque William Pond. No supe que había un evento en esas partes (La Gran Carrera de Eppie). Por la mayor parte la carrera ya se había acabado. Caminé alejándome del evento y por lo lejos oyí música. Seguí la música que venía cerca del rio. Poco a poco llegué más cerca y ví una banda tocando. Llegué a dónde estaba la banda y la cantante, Pinkie Varner (me gusta su nombre)me dejó tomar las fotos de arriba. Me parecieron ser buenas personas y me gustó su música. Tocaron unas cuantas canciones pero sólo me acuerdo de "The River (El Rio)"
