311 - Driving to Ventura Freeway

This was my view during most of the day today as we drove to L.A. for Alice's graduation tomorrow. I took some pictures of her baccalaureate mass but when it was time to take a picture or two of Alice most of the sunlight was gone so the pictures turned out blury. Tomorrow's graduation will provide a better opportunity. I did notice a parent in the audience that looked familiar and it turned out to be Powers Boothe who is one of the main characters in one of my favorite movies Tombstone. I got a chance to chat with him for a couple of minutes (he has a kids graduating in Alice's class).

Yeah the guy was quite comfortable just pacing about. He seemed like a down to earth type of guy (maybe he was just acting like it). One of the things he said basically summed it up, not his exact words but something like "We're all parents tonight."
