Tonight's Friday Night Concerts at Chavez Park had 4 bands playing; the Goodniks, Baby, Final Summation, and the Secretions.
We got to Cesar Chavez Park just as Baby was ending their gig. We had already missed the Nogoodniks, Then the band above (Final Summation) came on for a good session.
The mosh pit grew and withered. It was around 100 degrees today. I stayed at the edge of the pit and the kids stayed within their mosh circle and did not bother others (for the most part). I was quite intrigued by the mohawks in the stage and audience. Great crowd.
The Secretions ended the show. A kid, late teens/early teens, told me the drummer is a 4th grade teacher at a local school. I was impressed.
The last show had members from other bands and friends of the Secretions end the concert. A lot of dirt was being kicked around since the pit was in a dirt area for the most part.
I hope to regain my hearing within the next few days, the ringing continues hours after the concert. Today was a good day to be a punk.
Hoy fué un día bueno para ser un punkadero (a deveras que no se cómo se dice Punk en español).

Thank you for posting the pictures you took at the Secretions concert at Chavez Park on 6/13/08. The boys in the first two crowd photos are my 16 year old identical twin sons. The second photo just cracks me up. They have been pounding each other since birth - probably before that - and enjoy nothing more! But they are inseparable. And one of them obviously needs to eat a sandwich every now and then. LOL!
Lisa,
I've seen your boys a few times out there. I also have twins they were inseperable up until last year when they started college. One of them is still in southern California. I was taking these photos with one of my twins.
Small world.
