17 - Derecho a Sindicar y un Nuevo Puente
Worker's Right to Organize and a New Bridge

The marches that Cesar Chavez used to have for the worker's right to organize continues. In Sacramento we had a march from Southside Park to Cesar Chavez Park. The march carries on the tradition of marching for struggling families, fair wages, working conditions, and worker's rights. Before the march dancers in Aztec gear performed and a priest from Our Lady of Guadalupe, across the street from Southside Park, said a little prayer.

I was happy and proud to see so many young chicanos participating in the march. Chavez' chant continues "Yes we can"

El nuevo puente de Folsom.
Folsom's new bridge; Folsom Lake Crossing.

Finally, I observed Earth Hour today but I was unable to take a picture since I was about to charge my camera battery. I'll prepare a little better next year.

Beautiful pics... I run an Aztec dance group and a friend sent me the link to your blog because the "Aztec death mask" is one of my kopillis (headdresses). Actually the first, third and fourth pics from the march are my danza kids. Just wanted to say hi and tell you to keep posting the beautiful pics.
