I took this picture of a pond that reflected some structures in the background. The second picture is the same except a little distorted. I guess it just reflects life and how two people looking at the same thing see something completely different. Este saltamontes parace más a un camaleón viéndolo sobre el fondo del terreno. No se movió cuando me acerque pero después de que mi sombra se puso sobre del saltamontes entonces empezo a saltar.

The Nineteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution became law on August 26, 1920. Eighty Eight years later we had a woman run for the office of the presidency of the United States and she came close to wining. Hillary Clinton, today, delivered a powerful speech in support of Barrack Obama and as such could end up helping Obama become the next president of the United States. Below are some pictures of a small rally in Sacramento in support of the Nineteenth Amendment which became law, and finally made it where women could vote in the Presidential election of that year. Also a youtube video that caught my eye. I thought about posting David Bowie's Suffragette City song but I think they deal with two different issues.












La enmienda diecinueve de la constitución de los estado unidos llego a ser ley en agosto 26, 1920. Casi 88 años despues, por primera vez, tuvimos una mujer que tomo parte en casi ser elegida la primer mujer presidente. Hoy, Hillary Clinton, dio un discurso potente y quizas esto podra levantar a Barrack Obama ser nuestro siguiente presidente. Quizas. Arriba unas fotos sacadas en Sacramento de un desfile para dar apoyo al Sufragio en los eeuu. También, aunque sólo está en ingles, un video de youtube que da un poco de esta historia. Al fin, hay una canción de David Bowie llamada Suffragette City que me gusta pero creo que no es acerca del mismo Sufragio.

Our friend from work, Sherryl, returned from her honeymoon to Kauai. She was still glowing this morning. She's a good person and one of those people close to my heart, a friend amongst friends. Another co-worker decorated her cubicle as you can see above.

Nuestra amiga del trabajo, Sherryl, regrezo de su miel de luna pasado en Kauai. Esta mañana todavía se veia radiante. Ella es una buena persona y unas de esas amigas que llegan a tocar la alma de otros, una mejor amiga de amigas. Otra compañera de trabajo decoró su cubículo de trabajo como puede ver arriba.

Space Oddity.

This song has been in the back of my mind all day. I forget a lot of things but I do recall being at the Hollywood Bowl in 1974. David Bowie comes out for the beginning of the Diamond Dog tour with two male models resembling 2 doberman pinschers, each at the end of a leash walking the concert ramp towards the audience. A whole opera-like setting for one of the greatest performers of all time stands behind him. The smell of sweet smoke surrounds the air. People pushing people shoving and the girls who try to look pretty (I think that's from a bowie song; make it BTO). Almost 34 years later I recall going to this concert as if it were yesterday. This was the first concert I went to that entertained from beginning to end a grand show.

Esta canción ha estado en mi mente todo el día. Hoy se me olvidan muchas cosas pero claramente me acuerdo estar en el Hollywood Bowl en 1974 para ver este concierto. David Bowie, empieza, saliendo con dos varones que parecen a perros dóberman. Ambos en correas que maneja Bowie caminan en una plataforma hacia la audiencia. Atraz de ellos hay un gran escenario, como si fuera un ópera grande, y parece a una ciudad del futuro. El olor dulce del humo pasa por todos lados. La gente empuja y jala y las chicas hermosas bailan. Casi 34 años despues me acuerdo de este concierto como si fuera ayer. Esta fue el primer concierto que fui que entretenio del principio al fin, un gran concierto

Gas prices have been dropping for a few days but the prices posted on this gas station caught my eye. Unfortunately this gas station was out of business.

Los precios de gasolina al fin han empezado a bajar por los últimos días pero los precios en esta gasolinería me tomaron la atención. Desgraciadamente esta gasolineria ya no esta abierta para negocios.

237 - Scary Clown Payasos Espantosos

We came across a clown Brendon has been keeping for a while (in the closet). He relayed a story about putting the clown on a chair (as he is now) and when Mariana's dog saw it its hair stood on end and she barked at the clown. Bren and Gabe started laughing as they were recalling the story.
I don't like clowns.

Encontramos un payaso de Brendon quien lo tenía en su ropero. Él empezo a contarnos una historia de que una vez pusieron el payaso en una silla (como está en la foto) y la perrita de Mariana cuando lo vio sus pelos se pararon y empezó a ladrar. Ambos, Bren y Gabriel, se empezaron a reir cuando contaban su historia.
A mi no me gustan los payasos.

Pictures of the Ione SK8FEST. Marcus is in the first picture after winning a CD. We saw No Need and Mielaeh but missed the others; Vomit,Klinefelter, Uni Bombers, The Outlaws,AFD, and the Beerlords. The Skatepark was right next to the Ione cemetery.
